Yeah, I should have done this from the very beginning: introduce you to who I’m hanging out with! Above is my family—Joan Capdevila, Ursula Gierej and their son Albert. Joan is Catalan and so far he’s been the hardest to communicate with because of his strong accent (Catalan has a very French kind of accent). He’s an excellent cook and I’ve had fun making paella, fideau and pan y tomato with his instruction. Ursula is Polish and learned English while at school in Cambridge. She’s got a strong background in the tourism industry and that’s why she’s starting up Gourmand Breaks. Their son Albert is very cute and will be 2 in October. He’s very cute and has fun thinking that he’s controling me when he’s got my ipod and I’m wearing the earphones. They’re all very loving and kind people and I feel so lucky to have just out of the blue found people that are so willing to teach me things about their culture.
